Profile

Mohammad Sami is another talented fast bowler in Pakistan’s pace attack. He made a stunning start to his international career by taking a hat-trick in just his third Test and also an ODI hat-trick. However, his initial burst on the international stage was followed by a series of disappointments which saw him dropped from the Pakistan side. It is clear that he possesses talent and can be a valuable team member but has failed to capitalize on the opportunities he got. Nobody quite knows what the problem has been because Sami has all that is required for a successful fast bowler – he is fit, he is aggressive and has a good action. Yet, he has been ineffective.
